movies are great.. from soul searching to wasting time.. it really is fun. and for me its the best way of enjoying myself.. less sin too.. heh. seriously, movies taught me a lot.. from history whenever i watch something as heavy as schneider's list to jfk till black hawk down up till troy. even some politics when i watch any of tom clancy`s stuff...improving my vocab everytime a word came out and i don't know sh*t about what he's saying... putting physics and a bit of engineering theory everytime i watch something that has a mechanical parts or everytime they put stuff to little details that make it look good, even learning some new theory(but only trust a spielberg film though, or anything that came from a true story)... and not realising that putting a serious and calm look is much more effective at solving problems until i watch godfather,pulp fiction etc.... or even taking notes at some dorky pickup lines and even learn to try and be a gentleman when i watch as good as it gets or any of the hundreds of romantic comedy's out there(f*ck..).. up till fulfilling my needs when i'm bored and in need of action thanks to a bruckheimer movies or any of the epic or comic stuff out there... and when i want to look say gempak la konon.. i just watch any of the old stuff like clockwork orange, 7 samurai, dirty dozen, great escape etc... seriously... movies are fun... and cheap too(support pirate..??hehehe), nahh.. go to a cinema la... bigger screen, perfect sound..err crap subtitles.. hehe.
but anyway... speaking of movies, i was really, really bored last night... no movies to rent( or is it no money to rent movies..?? whatever.) head all f*cked by fourth class notes for our oral exams...but anyway... in the end, i end up watching malcolm X.. a movie i bought in january(really wanted to know what the fuss is about), and haven't touch since, cause i was afraid i'd end up watching this on my own till the end(so i thought...), and forgotten about it ever since, till last night that is. and the verdict..?? undecided... why? cause i'm no film critics, watching movies doesn't make me an expert.hehh. but in a way, its about malcolm X, so expect the sort of struggle story that'll excites you, but not the way gladiator, lotr or braveheart did, but in a way that you'd wish you can do the stuff that he did. and bit by bits you'll learned a little bit about history... not that its that good learning other people's history when its hard enough getting a C for your own history, but at least when you read an article and the name malcolm X appears you'd actually go 'oooohh..thats why..' something like that(konon2 taula..). i can't say its good cause it depends on the liking of other's as well, but i can say this, nobody slept watching it, everyone look interested. and i'm writing about it in my blog(takde benda nak tulis s'narnyeh. :p)..
